Historique

History
The oldest lord is mentioned in the second half of the 12th century. Jean de la Taille, who lived at the end of the 14th century, is considered the builder of the feudal manor. The complex consists of buildings around a square courtyard. Access is via a cart gate pierced in the centre of the eastern façade. At the four corners of the square, round towers project. Loopholes typical of the 16th century. The main façade is occupied in its centre by an entrance gatehouse. This building is the very type of fortified manors that occupied the countryside around Pithiviers during the 14th century, strongholds during the Hundred Years' War. In the 16th century, they were transformed into small fortresses and then served as refuges during the Wars of Religion.
