Au Moyen Age, Aschères était un marché de céréales, avec sa propre unité de mesure, la "mesure d'Aschères". La halle est un bâtiment rectangulaire avec un toit à quatre pans moins un, le côté sud ayant été très remanié. Une porte à barreaux de fer y a été aménagée, au-dessus de laquelle se trouvent deux anciens vitraux de l'église, dont il ne reste que l'ossature, sans doute amenés lors de la reconstruction de la nef au 19e siècle. Sur le côté nord, un auvent à deux pans abrite une porte d'entrée en plein cintre. Le gros oeuvre est en pan de bois hourdis de brique. L'intérieur présente une charpente à entraits et poinçons. History
In the Middle Ages, Aschères was a grain market, with its own unit of measurement, the "measure of Aschères". The market hall is a rectangular building with a four-slope roof minus one, the south side having been heavily altered. An iron-barred door has been installed there, above which are two former church windows, of which only the framework remains, probably brought at the time of the rebuilding of the nave in the 19th century. On the north side, a two-slope lean-to shelters an entrance door in round arch. The main structure is timber framing with brick nogging. The interior presents a roof structure with tie beams and king posts. The floor is covered with stone paving.
