Construction des années 1878-1880, les haras de Blois ont été élevés par l'architecte Jules Potier de la Morandière, sur un plan d'ensemble proche de celui des haras d'Annecy. Ils constituent, avec celui de Saint-Lô, l'archétype des dépôts réalisés lors de la campagne de travaux de rénovation de 1880, suite à la confirmation en 1874 du décret instituant l'installation de dépôts d'étalons. Les éléments architecturaux essentiels pour un haras sont retenus : écurie à stalles, écurie à boxes, infirmerie, sellerie, maréchalerie, bureaux et bâtiments d'habitation pour le personnel. Le manège ne sera réalisé qu'en 1967 sur une autre parcelle.

History
Construction from the years 1878-1880, the Blois stud farms were erected by the architect Jules Potier de la Morandière, on an overall plan similar to that of the Annecy stud farms. They constitute, along with that of Saint-Lô, the archetype of the deposits realized during the renovation work campaign of 1880, following the confirmation in 1874 of the decree instituting the installation of stallion deposits. The essential architectural elements for a stud farm are retained: stable with stalls, stable with boxes, infirmary, saddlery, farriery, offices and residential buildings for staff. The riding school was only realized in 1967 on another plot of land.
