Historique
Prieuré fondé au 11e siècle par Geoffroy Martel, dépendant de l'abbaye de la Trinité de Vendôme. Devenu citadelle de 1380 à 1385, il est entouré de murailles flanquées de tours et de fossés, et pourvu d'un gouverneur. La chapelle primitive a été remaniée et agrandie au 12e siècle. Vendue comme bien national en 1793, et privée d'entretien, elle s'est écroulée en 1805. Le logis prioral s'appuie contre la courtine nord. A l'angle sud-est, une tour quadrangulaire forme donjon. Le cloître se développait au nord de l'église.

History
Priory founded in the 11th century by Geoffrey Martel, dependent on the abbey of the Trinity of Vendôme. Becoming a citadel from 1380 to 1385, it is surrounded by walls flanked with towers and ditches, and provided with a governor. The primitive chapel was altered and enlarged in the 12th century. Sold as national property in 1793, and deprived of maintenance, it collapsed in 1805. The prioral dwelling leans against the north curtain wall. At the south-east angle, a quadrangular tower forms a keep. The cloister developed to the north of the church.
