L'église était à l'origine celle d'un prieuré bénédictin dépendant de l'abbaye Saint-Avit de Châteaudun. L'édifice se compose d'une nef du 12e siècle terminée par une abside en cul-de-four, et d'un bas-côté incomplet du 16e siècle flanquant une partie de la nef au nord. La nef est couverte d'un lambris portant la date de 1572 et des armoiries qui seraient celles de l'abbesse de Saint-Avit. Le bas-côté tenant lieu de chapelle seigneuriale, a été construit en 1537 et comprend trois travées lambrissées qui s'accusent extérieurement par trois pignons à crochets. Des traces de peintures du 16e siècle (les Trois Marie) se voient sur l'abside.

History
The church was originally that of a Benedictine priory dependent on the abbey of Saint-Avit of Châteaudun. The building comprises a nave of the 12th century terminated by a half-dome apse, and an incomplete aisle of the 16th century flanking part of the nave on the north. The nave is covered with timber boarding bearing the date of 1572 and heraldry which would be those of the abbess of Saint-Avit. The aisle serving as a seigneurial chapel, was built in 1537 and comprises three bays with timber boarding which are externally expressed by three gables with crockets. Traces of 16th century paintings (the Three Marys) are visible on the apse.
