L'hôtel fut habité à la fin du 16e siècle par le riche banquier lucquois venu en France faire fortune. La construction semblerait antérieure à sa venue. L'hôtel comporte trois corps de bâtiments occupant trois côtés d'une cour dont le quatrième, au nord, est séparé de la rue par un mur percé d'une porte charretière. La tour d'escalier est à l'angle sud-ouest de la cour et dépourvue d'ornementation. A sa gauche, une galerie ouverte occupait primitivement les faces sud et est. Le pilier qui occupait l'angle des deux parties de la galerie, présente quatre faces occupées par un grand panneau d'arabesques italiennes, avec dauphins et cornes d'abondance. Il s'agit certainement d'une interprétation encore maladroite des motifs italianisants par des artistes locaux. La mouluration est entièrement gothique. A l'intérieur, la maison a conservé un petit oratoire dont les murs sont entièrement couverts de peintures.

History
The hotel was inhabited at the end of the 16th century by the wealthy Lucca-born banker who came to France to make his fortune. The construction would seem to predate his arrival. The hotel comprises three building ranges occupying three sides of a courtyard, the fourth side to the north being separated from the street by a wall pierced with a carriage door. The stair tower is at the southwest corner of the courtyard and devoid of ornamentation. To its left, an open gallery originally occupied the south and east faces. The pillar which occupied the corner of the two parts of the gallery has four faces occupied by a large panel of Italian arabesques, with dolphins and cornucopias. This is certainly a still clumsy interpretation of Italianate motifs by local artists. The moulding is entirely Gothic. Inside, the house has retained a small oratory whose walls are entirely covered with paintings.
