Historique
Ancienne abbaye créée par des moines qui, fuyant les invasions normandes, s'installent à Blois en 873. Après un incendie, l'église est reconstuite de 1138 à 1230 sur les vestiges de la première. En 1356, l'église est fortifiée pour résister aux Anglais. En 1568, l'édifice est en partie détruit par les guerres de Religion puis restauré au cours du 17e siècle (rosace en 1661). A la Révolution, l'abbaye accueille l'hôtel-dieu.

History
Former abbey created by monks who, fleeing the Norman invasions, settled in Blois in 873. After a fire, the church is rebuilt from 1138 to 1230 on the vestiges of the first. In 1356, the church is fortified to resist the English. In 1568, the building is partly destroyed by the Wars of Religion then restored during the course of the 17th century (rose window in 1661). At the Revolution, the abbey receives the hôtel-dieu.
