Historique
Description

History
Erected from 1766, the present château is the work of architect Anatole Amoudru, based on the old manor. The entrance was moved and the layout was organised around the château from which avenues and park radiate. Only the service building section was preserved from the manor. The court of honour is structured by the two round towers, the square pavilions and, on either side of the château, two building blocks, one containing the chapel and granaries, and the other the bathing pavilion.
Description
The property is presented in the form of a main dwelling between a courtyard, partially grassed, along which service buildings are arranged (with other agricultural buildings at the rear), and a park. To the main rectangular body of dwelling are attached several towers and pavilions. Concealing the north and south façades, two large lower pavilions are arranged (19th c), one of which is covered with a terrace (north). On the park side (east), the north and south angles of the main dwelling are flanked by a round tower. On the courtyard side (west), various building blocks attached together form two sorts of returning wings: to the north, a square turret masks the 19th c pavilion and joins the main dwelling to the square pavilion of the 17th c; a simple wall connects the latter to a dovecote tower; to the south, the other 19th c pavilion links the main dwelling and the second square pavilion of the 17th c. A lean-to shed joins the latter to a large round tower.
