La place Choiseul précède le pont de pierre du 18e siècle et la rue Royale qui lui fait suite. Elle fut édifiée en même temps que l'ensemble urbain formé par le pont et la rue. La place, semi circulaire, comporte quatre pavillons semblables reliés primitivement deux par deux par un mur circulaire faisant fond de place. Un des murs fut détruit avant 1914. L'autre mur et les quatre pavillons subsistent.

History
The Place Choiseul precedes the stone bridge of the 18th century and the Rue Royale which follows it. It was built at the same time as the urban complex formed by the bridge and the street. The place, semi-circular, comprises four similar pavilions originally connected two by two by a circular wall forming the background of the place. One of the walls was destroyed before 1914. The other wall and the four pavilions remain.
