Historique
Couvent des Capucins créé en 1899, utilisé pendant la Première Guerre mondiale comme hôpital pour les aveugles de guerre. Les Capucins sy réinstallent en 1925, et font appel aux architectes Auguste et Gustave Perret pour la réalisation de la chapelle prévue dès 1899. Elle occupe laile ouest du couvent, sensiblement raccourcie par rapport au projet dorigine, pour des raisons de coût. Construite en béton armé et parpaings de ciment en damier, la chapelle est ornée dune peinture sur toile marouflée, réalisée par Madame Masse. En 1970, le couvent est vendu au centre médico-psycho-pédagogique du département de lIndre-et-Loire, qui aménage la chapelle en salle de gymnastique. Lédifice a été protégé pour éviter les menaces dues à linstallation dune annexe de lhôpital de Clocheville.

History
Convent of the Capuchins created in 1899, used during the First World War as a hospital for the blind of war. The Capuchins reinstalled there in 1925, and called upon architects Auguste and Gustave Perret for the realisation of the chapel planned from 1899. It occupies the west wing of the convent, substantially shortened compared to the original project, for reasons of cost. Constructed in reinforced concrete and cement breeze blocks in checkerboard pattern, the chapel is ornamented with a painting on canvas, glued to backing, realised by Madame Masse. In 1970, the convent was sold to the medico-psycho-pedagogical centre of the department of Indre-et-Loire, which converted the chapel into a gymnasium. The edifice was protected to avoid threats due to the installation of an annexe of the Clocheville hospital.
