Il s'agit de l'un des quatre ou cinq sites fortifiés gaulois les plus représentatifs de la Touraine. L'occupation gauloise et gallo-romaine de l'éperon est attestée. Le site est protégé, côté plateau, par un talus doublé d'un fossé extérieur. Des fouilles ont permis de le dater de la fin de la Tène III.

History
This is one of the four or five most representative Gallic fortified sites in Touraine. Gallic and Gallo-Roman occupation of the promontory is attested. The site is protected, on the plateau side, by an embankment doubled by an external ditch. Excavations made it possible to date it to the end of La Tène III.
