Historique
Ancien fief relevant, au 14e siècle, de l'archevêché de Tours. L'église appartenait, au 11e siècle, aux seigneurs de Crissay, et devint, en 1080, propriété de l'abbaye de Noyers. D'abord prieuré, Neuil fut érigé en paroisse en 1540. L'entrée sud de l'église conserve des éléments romans, avec voussure retombant sur des chapiteaux à chimères ou démons. La tour du clocher est plus tardive et couronnée d'une balustrade Renaissance encadrant le départ de la flèche octogonale gothique. Elle est flanquée d'une tourelle d'escalier polygonale. La nef est éclairée, au sud, d'une baie gothique à remplage flamboyant. Le choeur date du 15e siècle et se termine par un chevet plat éclairé d'une baie également à remplage flamboyant.

History
Former fief held, in the 14th century, from the archbishopric of Tours. The church belonged, in the 11th century, to the lords of Crissay, and became, in 1080, property of the abbey of Noyers. At first a priory, Neuil was erected into a parish in 1540. The south entrance of the church preserves Romanesque elements, with voussure returning onto capitals with chimeras or demons. The bell tower is later and crowned with a Renaissance balustrade framing the start of the octagonal Gothic spire. It is flanked by a polygonal stair turret. The nave is lit, on the south, by a Gothic opening with Flamboyant tracery. The choir dates from the 15th century and ends in a flat chevet lit by an opening also with Flamboyant tracery.
