Le prieuré jésuite de Ponçay, sur la route de Marigny-Marmande à Port-de-Piles, dépendait du doyenné de Noyers. La paroisse fut réunie à celle de Marigny en 1820. L'ancienne église paroissiale du 12e siècle est en ruines. Le logis du prieur, construction rectangulaire datant de la fin du Moyen Age, a perdu son escalier hors-oeuvre. Ses baies à encadrements moulurés (dont l'une à meneau) ont été en partie murées. Un grand portail, non protégé, permet d'y accéder.

History
The Jesuit priory of Ponçay, on the road from Marigny-Marmande to Port-de-Piles, was dependent on the deanery of Noyers. The parish was united with that of Marigny in 1820. The former 12th-century parish church is in ruins. The prior's dwelling, a rectangular construction dating from the late Middle Ages, has lost its external staircase. Its openings with moulded frames (one of which with a mullion) have been partly blocked up. A large unprotected gateway provides access to it.
