History
Lerne was part of the Viguerie of Chinon. The curacy was presented by the abbot of Seuilly. The church consists of a nave revoided in the 16th century (the choir in the 18th) and two aisles added at the same time. One bay possesses, at the keystone and on the doubled arches, bas-relief sculptures of the 16th century. The nave ends in a semi-circular apse pierced with round-arch windows, framed with small columns with capitals with crockets of the late 12th or early 13th century. The chevet with bevelled ends was raised at a later period.
