La paroisse fut réunie à celle de Crouzilles et eut pour origine une agglomération gallo-romaine. Des vestiges d'une industrie céramique de cette époque y subsistent. Une église fut fondée au 5e siècle par Saint-Perpet. L'oratoire fut reconstruit au 12e siècle. De la nef, en ruine, substitent le mur pignon oriental, le mur goutterot nord, le mur ouest, et une partie du mur sud. La maçonnerie en petit appareil, avec assises de briques, constituant la partie inférieure des murs nord et est, appartient à l'église de Saint-Perpet. Une chapelle funéraire moderne est contigüe au mur nord, sans communication avec l'église.

History
The parish was united with that of Crouzilles and had its origin in a Gallo-Roman settlement. Remains of a ceramic industry from that period subsist there. A church was founded in the 5th century by Saint-Perpet. The oratory was rebuilt in the 12th century. Of the nave, in ruins, there remain the eastern gable wall, the northern guttering wall, the western wall, and part of the southern wall. The masonry in small ashlar, with brick courses, constituting the lower part of the northern and eastern walls, belongs to the church of Saint-Perpet. A modern funerary chapel is contiguous to the northern wall, with no communication with the church.
