History
The cross is placed on a square base. It is of square section, with angles cut off in chamfer. The three arms are inspired by the cross of Jerusalem, and widen into palmettes according to a round arch curve. The column, whose base is octagonal, comprises three parts: a top, each of whose eight faces is decorated with a sculptured lozenge and framed by moulding; the plain column; the octagonal base decorated with a bead and several beaded mouldings separated by bevels or squares.
