Historique
Une première église fut construite vers 942 par Théotolon, archevêque de Tours. Elle fut reconstruite presque en totalité à la fin du 12e siècle. Le clocher fut ajouté peu après, élevant la façade ouest. Le mur nord de la nef unique, conserve une grande partie du mur parementé en petit appareil de l'édifice roman. La nef a été couverte en charpente avec lambris enduit de plâtre, vers 1790. La façade romane, cachée par le clocher, conserve sa porte en plein cintre. Le premier rouleau en est mouluré d'un chanfrein décoré de quatre-feuilles. Le second rouleau a chaque claveau décoré de feuillages et est circonscrit d'une archivolte décorée de même. Il retombe sur des chapiteaux aux tailloirs ornés d'entrelacs et les corbeilles de feuillages. Le choeur est couvert d'une voûte sur ogives retombant sur des chapiteaux décorés d'animaux et de feuillages stylisés.

History
A first church was built around 942 by Théotolon, archbishop of Tours. It was rebuilt almost entirely in the late 12th century. The bell tower was added shortly after, elevating the west façade. The north wall of the single nave preserves a large part of the wall faced in small ashlar of the Romanesque building. The nave has been covered with a roof structure with plaster-coated panelling, around 1790. The Romanesque façade, hidden by the bell tower, preserves its round-arch door. The first voussoir is moulded with a chamfer decorated with four-leaf clovers. The second voussoir has each voussoir decorated with foliage and is circumscribed by an archivolt decorated in the same manner. It falls on capitals with abacuses adorned with interlace and baskets of foliage. The choir is covered with a rib vault falling on capitals decorated with animals and stylized foliage.
