Historique
Le fief relevait de l'archevêché de Tours. Le château présente un donjon rectangulaire dont le couronnement a disparu, et qui portait à ses angles quatre tourelles en encorbellement sur des culs de lampe. L'étage inférieur est voûté d'un berceau brisé. Les étages supérieurs étaient séparés par des planchers. La façade sud était autrefois reliée à un corps de logis ayant disparu et dont subsiste seulement une maçonnerie noyée dans un bâtiment moderne. Une fenêtre en arc brisé, divisée par un meneau vertical en deux fenestrelles de même dessin, avec tympan ajouré d'un oculus, éclaire à l'ouest l'une des anciennes salles supérieures. Une fuye cylindrique en ruine, du 16e siècle, avoisine la tour au nord-est.

History
The fief was held of the archbishopric of Tours. The castle presents a rectangular keep whose crown has disappeared, and which bore at its corners four turrets in corbelling on stone corbels. The lower storey is vaulted with a broken barrel vault. The upper storeys were separated by floors. The south façade was formerly connected to a main dwelling which has disappeared and of which only masonry survives, embedded in a modern building. A broken arch window, divided by a vertical mullion into two fenestelles of the same design, with a pierced tympanum opening with an oculus, lights on the west one of the former upper rooms. A cylindrical pigeon house in ruins, from the 16th century, adjoins the tower to the north-east.
