Détilly était une châtellenie relevant du roi. Le château fut pris et incendié en 1562 par le comte de Montgomery. Il fut reconstruit au début du 17e siècle. History
Détilly was a lordship belonging to the king. The château was taken and burned in 1562 by the count of Montgomery. It was rebuilt in the early 17th century. The chapel, consecrated around 1135, was rebuilt in the 15th century. The square pavilion accompanying the château to the south probably formed part of the building destroyed in 1562, but was restored during the reconstruction. The monumental gate is composed of a large round arch, flanked by pilasters with Ionic capitals, supporting the entablature with an aedicule flanked by winged ornaments. The outbuildings are contemporary with the château.
