A cet emplacement se situait autrefois le cimetière du prieuré de Saint-Saturnin de Vouillon, dont il ne reste que des ruines et une partie de l'église du 12e siècle. La tradition locale parle d'un cimetière de chevaliers de Malte. Le monument se compose de quatre emmarchements formant socle, d'une pile carrée couronnée par un glacis. Le couronnement se compose d'un petit dôme ovoïde orné de quatre frontons rayés horizontalement et terminé par un tore. Au-dessus, une sorte de fleuron conique, orné à la base de quatre autres petits frontons lisses et, au sommet, une grosse bague torique termine l'ensemble en forme de bouteille.

History
At this location formerly stood the cemetery of the priory of Saint-Saturnin de Vouillon, of which only ruins and part of the 12th-century church remain. Local tradition speaks of a cemetery of Knights of Malta. The monument consists of four steps forming a base, of a square pile crowned by a slope. The crown consists of a small ovoid dome decorated with four horizontally striped pediments and terminated by a torus. Above it, a kind of conical finial, decorated at the base with four other smooth small pediments and, at the top, a large toroidal ring terminates the ensemble in the shape of a bottle.
