L'église est, dans son ensemble, un édifice du 12e siècle, à nef unique et chevet plat, remanié à plusieurs époques. La façade occidentale est entièrement ancienne et se présente comme un exemple très bien conservé d'architecture rurale de la fin du 12e siècle. Le mur pignon est percé au centre d'une fenêtre plein cintre avec archivolte et boudin torique retombant sur deux colonnettes aux chapiteaux à feuillages. En-dessous se trouve un porche en saillie recouvert de dalles en glacis. La corniche est composée d'une série d'arcatures retombant sur des modillons à têtes grotesques et composée en blocs de pierre d'un seul morceau, évidés, dont le joint vertical est dans l'axe des arceaux, suivant le type poitevin. History
The church is, overall, a building of the 12th century, with a single nave and flat chevet, altered at various periods. The western façade is entirely old and presents itself as a very well-preserved example of rural architecture from the end of the 12th century. The gable wall is pierced at the centre with a round-arch window with archivolt and toric moulding resting on two colonettes with foliate capitals. Below is found a protruding porch covered with slates set at an angle. The cornice is composed of a series of arcatures resting on modillions with grotesque heads and composed of stone blocks in a single piece, hollowed out, whose vertical joint is in the axis of the arches, following the Poitevin type. The portal has six monolithic columns with foliate capitals. The outer archivolt is ornamented with cabochons. The first and third row of voussoirs are ornamented with tori and diamond points. The second row is ornamented with a torus and cabochons. The abaci are ornamented with twisted rope.
