Le plus ancien texte mentionnant l'édifice date de 1154. De cette époque subsiste un cordon en dent de scie encastré dans le mur de l'abside actuelle. C'est une église fortifiée composée d'une nef et d'un choeur à chevet plat sous une tour massive qui a dû être surélevée au cours d'une restauration. L'édifice a été reconstruit en 1445. Des chapelles ont été rapportées par la suite. La façade ouest a été fortifiée. Il n'en reste que les consoles de mâchicoulis. La nef conserve l'ancienne charpente à chevrons portant ferme avec entraits et poinçons taillés pour être apparents. Les aisseliers ont reçu les bardeaux d'une voûte en bois. La voûte a dû être ajoutée par la suite.

History
The oldest text mentioning the building dates from 1154. From this period remains a chevron-pattern cord embedded in the wall of the present apse. It is a fortified church composed of a nave and a choir with a flat chevet under a massive tower which must have been heightened during a restoration. The building was rebuilt in 1445. Chapels were added subsequently. The west façade was fortified. Only the machicolation brackets remain. The nave retains the old rafter roof structure carrying trusses with ties and collars cut to be exposed. The ashlar pieces received the shingles of a wooden vault. The vault must have been added later.
