Construit en 1754 sur un terrain inoccupé à l'époque, le bailliage de justice est l'une des dernières œuvres de la marquise de Pompadour dans sa réorganisation du village. L'édifice forme un plan en U, avec deux ailes en retour sur jardin formant une cour. La façade principale présente un avant-corps central surmonté d'un fronton triangulaire. A l'intérieur, le bailliage comportait salons avec parquets et cheminées. Des toiles de Vien, actuellement conservées aux Etats-Unis, complétaient le décor.

History
Built in 1754 on unoccupied ground at the time, the bailliage of justice is one of the last works of the marquise de Pompadour in her reorganisation of the village. The building forms a U-shaped plan, with two wings set back on the garden forming a courtyard. The main façade presents a central avant-corps surmounted by a triangular pediment. Inside, the bailliage contained salons with parquet floors and fireplaces. Canvases by Vien, currently held in the United States, completed the decoration.
