En 1091, Hugues Ier de Châteauneuf fit don de l'église à l'abbaye de Saint-Florentin de Bonneval qui y fonda un prieuré. La nef, les bas-côtés, la façade sont, dans l'ensemble, du 12e siècle. Les deux premières travées de la nef peuvent être les vestiges d'une construction du 11e siècle. Les religieux du prieuré ont démoli l'ancien choeur pour bâtir, au 14e siècle, une chapelle. Quelques remaniements ont été réalisés au 16e siècle, lors de la reconstruction du transept. Ce dernier conserve quelques fragments de vitraux du 16e siècle.

History
In 1091, Hughes I of Châteauneuf made a gift of the church to the abbey of Saint-Florentin of Bonneval which founded a priory there. The nave, the aisles, the façade are, in the main, of the 12th century. The first two bays of the nave may be the remains of an 11th-century construction. The monks of the priory demolished the old choir to build, in the 14th century, a chapel. Some modifications were carried out in the 16th century, at the time of the rebuilding of the transept. The latter preserves some fragments of 16th-century stained glass.
