Ce moulin à vent a été construit au 18e siècle, puis restauré au 19e siècle. Il a reçu des ailes à système Berton après 1860. Après donation le 2 mai 1991 à la commune de Sancheville, le moulin a été remonté au lieudit Saint-Marie (il était autrefois situé au lieudit Le Paradis). A l'intérieur du soubassement en maçonnerie se trouve le pivot conforté par les faux-pieds. Au premier étage se situe le bourdon en bois, de forme cylindrique. A côté, le régulateur à boules permet de régler la distance entre les meules qui se trouvent au même étage, contrairement aux moulins pivots beaucerons traditionnels. La blutterie se situe près des meules. Au deuxième étage se trouve l'arbre métallique et le rouet en bois. La tête de l'arbre moteur porte une couronne à denture intérieure, qui engrène avec le petit pignon qui transmet la commande. Aux quatre bouts des bras s'articulent quatre triangles qui transmettent la commande à la seconde des cinq roues. Les ailes sont constituées de planchettes mobiles. Un frein permet de ralentir la vitesse des ailes.

History
This windmill was constructed in the 18th century, then restored in the 19th century. It received Berton-system sails after 1860. After donation on 2 May 1991 to the commune of Sancheville, the mill was rebuilt at the place-name Saint-Marie (it was formerly located at the place-name Le Paradis). Inside the rubble-stone base is found the pivot reinforced by the false feet. On the first storey is situated the wooden main shaft, of cylindrical form. Beside it, the ball regulator allows adjustment of the distance between the millstones which are located on the same storey, contrary to traditional Beauce pivot mills. The bolter room is situated near the millstones. On the second storey is found the metal shaft and the wooden gear wheel. The head of the driving shaft bears a crown with internal teeth, which engages with the small pinion that transmits the drive. At the four ends of the arms are articulated four triangles which transmit the drive to the second of five wheels. The sails are made up of movable boards. A brake allows the speed of the sails to be reduced.
