Clément Marot fut quelquefois l'hôte de René Lemaire qui posséda le château vers 1540. Le maréchal Ney y logea de 1808 à 1815. L'édifice du 18e siècle fut construit sur l'emplacement d'un ancien manoir. Il présente un corps de logis d'un étage plus combles à la Mansard sur rez-de-chaussée. Il est flanqué de deux pavillons formant saillie en avant et en arrière. Quatre tourelles rondes, vestiges d'un ancien manoir, sont situées aux quatre angles. History
Clément Marot was occasionally a guest of René Lemaire who owned the château around 1540. Marshal Ney lodged there from 1808 to 1815. The 18th-century building was constructed on the site of an earlier manor. It presents a main dwelling of one storey plus Mansard roof space over a ground floor. It is flanked by two pavilions projecting forward and backward. Four round turrets, remains of an earlier manor, are situated at the four corners. Beside the château are found vast outbuildings of the same period, a farm building and a kitchen garden. The layout of the park was carried out according to designs by Bertaus.
