Historique
La nef se termine par une abside à pans, le tout recouvert par une charpente lambrissée polygonale. Un campanile surmonte la façade. History
The nave ends in a faceted apse, the whole covered by a polygonal coffered roof structure. A campanile crowns the façade. The present church was almost entirely rebuilt or fitted out in the 17th century. The roof structure is entirely from this period. The underside of the rafter couples forming the principal rafters and the raised ties is furnished with shingles adorned with decorative paintings. This roof structure is one of the rare completely 17th-century examples. Under Louis XIV, camps were established in the Gallardon valley for the construction of the Maintenon aqueduct. Officers stayed in the surrounding castles and an intense life, with court visits, reigned in this region. It is probable that this church was completely restored at this time, and enriched with paintings in the taste of the period.
