Cet édifice a été construit à la fin du 11e siècle ou au début du 12e siècle, à l'emplacement d'un prieuré édifié au Haut Moyen Age. La voûte de la croisée du transept a été reprise à la fin du 12e siècle. La première travée de la nef et le portail occidental datent du 13e siècle. History
This building was constructed in the late 11th century or early 12th century, on the site of a priory built in the Early Middle Ages. The vault of the crossing of the transept was redone in the late 12th century. The first bay of the nave and the western portal date from the 13th century. In the 14th century, the sacristy was built and the base of the bell tower was remade. The construction of the side chapels was staggered from the mid-15th century to the early 16th century; the chapel of Sainte-Anne was founded by Philippe de Culan, lord of Saint-Amand-le-Chatel. The paving of the nave was done in 1687. The roof was remade in 1747 by F. Catinot and G. Bionnet, carpenters. From 1816 to 1840, the sacristy was rebuilt and a spire was added to the bell tower. In the mid-19th century, significant repairs were undertaken concerning the roof and the supports. From 1910 to 1929, the western façade and the covering of the chevet were redone.
