Cet édifice a abrité un établissement conventuel de bénédictins, puis de chanoines réguliers à partir de 1517. L'appelation de chapitre a été donnée à l'ancienne église Notre-Dame qui se compose d'une nef, de transepts, d'un choeur terminé par une abside demi-circulaire, et deux absidioles. La construction remonte au 12e siècle. L'édifice est utilisé pour l'actuelle mairie. Sur la partie haute de l'abside et formant frise à la travée voûtée en berceau qui précède le cul de four de celle-ci, se trouvent des fresques du 13e siècle illustrant des scènes du Nouveau Testament.

History
This building housed a convent establishment of Benedictines, then of regular canons from 1517. The name of chapter was given to the former church of Notre-Dame which comprises a nave, transepts, a choir terminated by a semi-circular apse, and two absidioles. The construction dates from the 12th century. The building is used for the current town hall. On the upper part of the apse and forming a frieze to the bay vaulted in barrel vault which precedes the cul de four of the latter, are found frescoes from the 13th century illustrating scenes from the New Testament.
