History
This house was built after the fire of 1487, for a merchant. The building comprises a ground floor, two storeys and a roof space. The ground floor is occupied by a shop remade in the modern period. The storeys have retained their visible timber framing with lozenge compartmentation. The façade is pierced by one window per storey, remade in the 18th century. The second storey retains, on the inside, a fireplace from the 16th century with stone jambs and moulded wooden mantel.
