Historique
Sanctuaire élevé à la fin du 11e ou au début du 12e siècle, sur un plan en croix latine se composant d'une nef de trois travées, d'un transept et d'une abside circulaire. Dans chaque bras du transept s'ouvre, à l'est, une petite chapelle et, au-dessus du bras sud, s'élève le clocher. Ce dernier a été arasé et une flèche octogonale à base carrée a remplacé la flèche primitive. A l'intérieur, l'aspect de la nef a été complètement modifié. Les voûtes d'ogives et les piliers adossés sont modernes. Le bras sud du transept a conservé, sous le clocher, une voûte d'ogive bombée portant sur de puissants arcs diagonaux carrés qui retombent sur des culots en forme de chapiteaux. Les absidioles sont voûtées en cul de four brisé. La croisée du transept conserve deux chapiteaux romans. Un relief pré-roman est incrusté dans la paroi nord de la nef, sans doute un vestige de l'église qui a précédé l'édifice actuel.

History
Sanctuary erected at the end of the 11th or beginning of the 12th century, on a Latin cross plan consisting of a nave of three bays, a transept and a circular apse. In each arm of the transept opens, to the east, a small chapel and, above the south arm, rises the bell tower. The latter was razed and an octagonal spire with square base replaced the original spire. Inside, the appearance of the nave has been completely altered. The rib vaults and engaged pillars are modern. The south arm of the transept has preserved, under the bell tower, a domed rib vault resting on powerful square diagonal arches which fall onto corbels in the form of capitals. The small apses are vaulted with a broken squinch. The crossing of the transept preserves two Romanesque capitals. A pre-Romanesque relief is inset into the north wall of the nave, probably a vestige of the church that preceded the present building.
