Historique
Maison du 13e siècle représentant un véritable gisement archéologique des dispositions d'une demeure médiévale. Elle est composée de deux corps de logis en équerre et comporte une cave, deux étages d'habitation et un grenier. Au Moyen Age, la maison enjambait une ruelle. Dans la cave, une colonne de pierre sert de support à une poutre. Une grande salle occupait tout l'îlot. Au premier étage, se trouve une fenêtre géminée qui comporte un décor végétal et de faux appareil, ainsi que des coussièges. S'y trouvent également deux chapiteaux, l'emplacement d'un fumoir et d'une cheminée monumentale démolie au 19e siècle. Des encoches indiquent les marques des cordes qui soutenaient les tentures permettant de compartimenter la pièce. Sont également conservés l'emplacement d'un escalier, une fenêtre du 15e siècle à coussièges, et une poutre mise en place au 16e siècle pour soutenir le plancher. History
House of the 13th century representing a true archaeological deposit of the arrangements of a medieval dwelling. It is composed of two main dwellings at right angles and comprises a cellar, two residential storeys and a granary. In the Middle Ages, the house spanned an alley. In the cellar, a stone column serves as support for a beam. A large hall occupied the entire block. On the first floor, there is a paired window which bears a vegetable decoration and false ashlar, as well as bench seats. Also found there are two capitals, the location of a smoke hole and a monumental fireplace demolished in the 19th century. Notches indicate the marks of the ropes which supported the hangings allowing the room to be partitioned. Also preserved are the location of a staircase, a 15th-century window with bench seats, and a beam put in place in the 16th century to support the floor. The same arrangements are found on the second floor.
