Historique
Edifice de la fin du 11e siècle dont la tradition fait l'ancienne maison de ville. La façade se compose d'un rez-de-chaussée, de deux étages et d'une tour ou beffroi. Le rez-de-chaussée est formé d'une suite d'arcades ogivales portant sur des piliers carrés sans chapiteaux ni ornement. Ces arcades formaient sans doute un portique à jour. Au-dessus de ces arcades se trouvent une galerie carrée portant sur des colonnettes accouplées surmontées de chapiteaux sculptés. Cette galerie est divisée en trois parties par deux piliers carrés (représentation de Moïse, Adam et Eve). Au-dessus de cette galerie est un étage de fenêtres ogivales à deux divisions plein cintre supportées par une colonnette. La corniche est composée de grands corbeaux qui viennent porter la saillie du comble. Sur la partie gauche de l'édifice est placée la tour carré percée du même genre de fenêtres. L'une des fenêtres avait, au centre, pour supporter les deux arcs, une colonne en bronze fondue pendant la Révolution.

History
Edifice of the end of the 11th century which tradition makes the former town house. The façade is composed of a ground floor, two storeys and a tower or belfry. The ground floor is formed of a succession of pointed arches resting on square pillars without capitals or ornament. These arches probably formed an open portico. Above these arches is found a square gallery resting on paired colonettes surmounted by sculpted capitals. This gallery is divided into three parts by two square pillars (representation of Moses, Adam and Eve). Above this gallery is a storey of pointed arches windows in two divisions with round arches supported by a colonette. The cornice is composed of large corbels which come to bear the projection of the roof space. On the left part of the edifice is placed the square tower pierced with the same kind of windows. One of the windows had, at the centre, to support the two arches, a bronze column cast during the Revolution.
