Historique
L'hôpital général date de 1677. Le pavillon de gauche, en entrant dans la cour d'honneur, fut édifié de 1681 à 1683 sur les plans de l'architecte Gras. C'est la partie la plus ancienne de l'hôpital. A la suite de l'autorisation d'alignement accordée en 1778, l'infirmerie fut prolongée juqu'à la route de Bordeaux. C'est donc pendant le règne de Louis XVI qu'a été entreprise la construction de la façade néo-classique à frontons.

History
The general hospital dates from 1677. The left pavilion, on entering the courtyard of honour, was built from 1681 to 1683 according to the plans of the architect Gras. This is the oldest part of the hospital. Following the alignment authorization granted in 1778, the infirmary was extended as far as the road to Bordeaux. It was therefore during the reign of Louis XVI that the construction of the neo-classical facade with pediments was undertaken.
