History
In 1808, the town was erected as capital of a department by Napoleon. New buildings were then constructed, others enlarged, using terracotta for ornamentation. This house was constructed between 1830-1850. On the Grand'Rue, the façade opens on the first storey by round-arch windows, framed by Corinthian pilasters. Neo-Gothic cast-iron balcony. Above, a frieze formed of scrollwork. Above the windows of the second storey runs a frieze formed of lion masks, serpents and oak leaves.
