Historique

History
Building of rectangular plan, vaulted, dating from the 15th century but probably begun in the 14th. The nave is lit by pointed-arch openings. The wall of the sanctuary is covered by a monumental retable. The bell tower flanks, to the south, the first western bay of the nave. It rises in the form of a square tower up to a level overtopping the roof space of the nave. At this level, a corbelling of four continuous courses of large cavetto mouldings gives a fairly wide gallery from which emerges, on a square base but passing to the octagonal by chamfering triangular fashion the four angles, the intermediate storey between the square tower, crowned by the great corbelling, and the two final octagonal storeys. These two storeys are the only ones pierced by windows in each panel of the octagon. These windows had mullions and tracery, now almost entirely destroyed. Behind the gallery, on each chamfered angle, rises a quadrangular pinnacle terminated by a pyramidon. Following the bell tower are found two chapels occupying two bays of buttresses. Against the north side façade of the nave are set, from the sanctuary bay onwards, three chapels, one of which serves as sacristy.
