Historique
L'hôtel occupe l'emplacement de deux maisons. Vers 1700, Jean-François de Rollet, marquis de Cordes et baron de Castelferrus, décida de restaurer l'hôtel des Vinel dont il avait hérité. Il obtint également en 1706 le salon sur rue de l'hôtel de Caulet, devenu dès 1617 l'hôtel de ville. Cela lui permit la reconstruction d'une grande façade uniforme comprenant un grand corps central à deux étages et deux ailes d'un étage. Il fit décorer de stucs de style Louis XIV une cheminée dans le deuxième salon du premier étage. Vers 1750, il orna de stucs le troisième salon. En 1898, les frères des Ecoles chrétiennes s'y installèrent après le don que leur fit le dernier descendant de la famille de la Fite de Pelleporc.

History
The hôtel occupies the site of two houses. Around 1700, Jean-François de Rollet, marquis de Cordes and baron de Castelferrus, decided to restore the hôtel des Vinel which he had inherited. He also obtained in 1706 the street-front salon of the hôtel de Caulet, which had become the hôtel de ville since 1617. This allowed him the reconstruction of a large uniform façade comprising a large central body of two storeys and two wings of one storey. He had decorated with Louis XIV style stuccowork a fireplace in the second salon of the first floor. Around 1750, he ornamented the third salon with stuccowork. In 1898, the brothers of the Christian Schools established themselves there following the gift made to them by the last descendant of the family of la Fite de Pelleporc.
