Au 15e siècle, Trévien était compris dans la baronnie de Monestiés et appartenait à des seigneurs vassaux de l'évêque d'Albi. Le château se présente comme un quadrilatère flanqué à chaque angle d'une tour ronde dont une en encorbellement. Une grosse tour circulaire accolée au milieu de la façade Est abrite l'escalier à vis. Les percements ont été dans l'ensemble remaniés, mais quelques fenêtres gothiques subsistent. Les caves voûtées communiquent par des portes cintrées en pierre de taille. L'intérieur conserve des cheminées en marbre ou en bois de style Louis XV et Louis XVI, une fontaine en marbre au premier étage et des plafonds peints au deuxième étage.

History
In the 15th century, Trévien was included in the barony of Monestiés and belonged to lords vassals of the bishop of Albi. The castle presents itself as a quadrilateral flanked at each corner by a round tower, one of which is in corbelling. A large circular tower attached to the middle of the east facade houses the spiral staircase. The openings have been generally reworked, but some Gothic windows remain. The vaulted cellars communicate by arched doors in ashlar. The interior retains fireplaces in marble or wood in Louis XV and Louis XVI style, a marble fountain on the first floor and painted ceilings on the second floor.
