Historique
L'église, qui s'ouvrait à la place du choeur actuel, a subi plusieurs modifications depuis son origine. Elle faisait partie de l'ancienne enceinte du bourg, avec chemin de ronde et créneaux à mâchicoulis. La disposition actuelle date de l'extension du village. History
The church, which opened onto the site of the present choir, underwent several modifications since its origin. It was part of the old town enclosure, with a rampart walk and machicolations. The present layout dates from the extension of the village. Certain sculptures incorporated into the external lateral wall appear to date from the 13th century but certainly come from the castle, as does the voluted capital transformed into a holy water stoup. The building comprises a single nave of three bays with a rib vault. On the side of the former entrance is found a choir vaulted en cul de four, preceded by a double arch, and on the side of the present entrance is found the old chevet with cut angles. The paintings on the vaults recall those of Albi cathedral. The belfry, called Porte du Pont, is placed to the right of the church. Its access staircase is situated along the lateral façade of the church.
