Historique
L'église est mentionnée dès 1125 dans un inventaire de la cathédrale d'Albi. Elle se trouvait alors en dehors des murs de la ville. L'édifice se compose d'une nef de trois travées, prolongée à l'est par un chevet polygonal. Précédée par un porche moderne, sous charpente, la porte d'entrée s'ouvre au sud de la travée de fond. L'encadrement intérieur est sculpté de fines moulures, en deux séries séparées par une large gorge. Les bases conservent des traces de torsades, motif décoratif également utilisé sur l'un des piliers du fond de la nef. A l'intérieur, les voûtes ont été restaurées ou retouchées, surtout au-dessus de la nef et du sanctuaire. Les voûtes des chapelles paraissent d'époque. Au nord, une chapelle peu profonde s'ouvre sur la nef par un arc brisé orné de petits chapiteaux sculptés. History
The church is mentioned as early as 1125 in an inventory of Albi cathedral. It was then situated outside the town walls. The building comprises a nave of three bays, extended to the east by a polygonal chevet. Preceded by a modern porch, under roof structure, the entrance door opens on the south side of the end bay. The interior frame is sculpted with fine mouldings, in two series separated by a wide gorge. The bases retain traces of twisted decoration, a decorative motif also used on one of the pillars at the end of the nave. Inside, the vaults have been restored or retouched, especially above the nave and the sanctuary. The vaults of the chapels appear to be of the period. On the north side, a shallow chapel opens on to the nave through a pointed arch decorated with small carved capitals. The windows with flamboyant tracery constitute interesting examples of regional architecture in the 15th and 16th centuries.
