History
The various doors of the town were defensive works which formed part of the enclosures built successively from the 13th to 14th centuries for the protection of Cordes. These works have been uncrowned. The door of Planol is tangent to the enclosure wall on one side and flanked, on the other, by a tower followed by a false tower, all in dressed stone. The interior façade has been remade in timber framing. The door is lit by a square opening. Groove for portcullis preserved.
