La maison s'appuie contre des remparts consistant en une tour (tour Puech-Amadenc ou tour du Pas Trangnat), prolongée par une chemin de ronde à l'est et à l'ouest. Côté ouest, le chemin de ronde est prolongé par un escalier qui aboutit à un jardin. L'ensemble est construit en briques. Ces remparts pourraient dater des 12e-13e siècles, ou du 14e siècle, après la guerre des Albigeois et pendant la guerre de Cent ans. Une "ruelle" longe les remparts, côté ville. History
The house leans against ramparts consisting of a tower (Puech-Amadenc tower or Pas Trangnat tower), extended by a wall walk to the east and west. On the west side, the wall walk is extended by a staircase which leads to a garden. The whole is built in brick. These ramparts could date from the 12th-13th centuries, or the 14th century, after the Albigensian Crusade and during the Hundred Years' War. A 'lane' runs along the ramparts, on the town side. The main dwelling runs along this lane and is connected to the tower by a bridge of the same construction. On the ground floor are rooms of old brick. The upper floors were built at various periods. Monumental staircase cage of the 18th century. Major restorations were carried out in the early 20th century. The painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was born there in 1864.
