Historique
L'importance du domaine du Cantepau est due à l'ascension de la famille consulaire albigeoise Delécouls. L'édifice présente un quadrilatère cantonné sur deux angles de tours rondes, et coiffé d'un toit de tuiles plat légèrement débordant. Une corniche de brique moulurée suit le pourtour de l'édifice sous le toit. La façade nord conserve une fenêtre à croisillons de pierre. A l'intérieur, plusieurs éléments ont été conservés : la grande cheminée rustique en brique de la cuisine ; l'escalier à rampes droites avec jeux d'arcs et voûtes d'arêtes sur les deux étages ; deux pièces ayant conservé leurs plafonds à la française au premier étage, ainsi que deux cheminées, l'une à double écusson, l'autre à panneaux de stucs du 18e siècle représentant des instruments de musique.

History
The importance of the Cantepau estate is due to the rise of the Albigeois consular family Delécouls. The building presents a quadrilateral flanked on two angles by round towers, and crowned with a slightly overhanging flat tile roof. A moulded brick cornice runs around the perimeter of the building under the roof. The north façade retains a window with stone mullions. Inside, several elements have been preserved: the large rustic brick fireplace of the kitchen; the staircase with straight flights with arcs and rib vaults on the two storeys; two rooms which have retained their French ceilings on the first floor, as well as two fireplaces, one with double escutcheon, the other with stucco panels of the 18th century representing musical instruments.
