La maison porte encore le nom de "villa Bencus". Cette tradition semble confirmer l'hypothèse qu'elle fut construite à l'emplacement de la villa gallo-romaine qui a donné naissance au village de Saint-Savin. History
The house still bears the name 'villa Bencus'. This tradition seems to confirm the hypothesis that it was built on the site of the Gallo-Roman villa which gave rise to the village of Saint-Savin.
