Historique

History
Building dated from the early 13th century, according to a text engraved in the porch bearing the date 1240 or 1260. In the mid-14th century, the church passes to the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem. The nave and chevet are raised to allow the installation of a wallwalk. The chapel of the Virgin was probably founded between 1420 and 1444, and possesses painted decoration of that period. From the 17th century date the gilded wooden high altar, the pulpit, a polychrome pietà and the painted canvases. The chapel of Saint Roch possesses a mural decoration of 1670. In 1736, the order of Malta succeeds the Hospitallers. In 1876, the bell tower is used as a military prison. From that period date the painted decoration of the retable of the chapel of Saint Roch, as well as that of the apse vault. At the end of the 19th century, a door is pierced to the north, facing the roman portal.
