History
In 1140, installation of the Cistercians. Between 1350 and 1360, Franco-English troubles bring a period of decline for the abbey. The building is burned during the Wars of Religion. Reconstructions and transformations until the 18th century. The monks' wing and the church are pierced by large openings, and the dormitory is arranged into individual cells. In 1793, the abbey is sold as national property.
