L'abbaye de Beaulieu fonda, en 1100, un lieu d'asile qui prit le nom de Bona Vila, Bonne Viole. L'église était autrefois accostée d'une léproserie. L'édifice en croix latine a été bâti sur le modèle de l'église abbatiale de Beaulieu, par les Bénédictins de l'ordre de Cluny. Elle était très vaste avant la disparition des nefs. Elle se termine par une abside voûtée en cul de four. Sur le croisillon droit du transept se prolonge le mur d'une ancienne construction dont la porte romane est encadrée d'un cordon de billettes.

History
The abbey of Beaulieu founded, in 1100, a place of asylum which took the name of Bona Vila, Bonne Viole. The church was formerly flanked by a leper house. The building in Latin cross was constructed following the model of the abbatial church of Beaulieu, by the Benedictines of the Cluniac order. It was very large before the disappearance of the naves. It ends in an apse vaulted in a half-dome. On the right arm of the transept extends the wall of a former building whose Romanesque door is framed by a chevron moulding.
