L'église aurait été, à l'origine, un fort auquel aurait été ajouté plus tard un oratoire. Elle est mentionnée comme paroissiale dès 1311. Au pied de la tour se trouvait le puits, aujourd'hui enclos dans la chapelle Saint-Roch, ajoutée à la fin des guerres anglaises, sans doute vers 1452. En élargissant la partie réservée au culte, le nouvel édifice préparait la défense : meurtrières, évier, latrines pour les soldats étaient aménagés dans la partie supérieure.

History
The church would originally have been a fort to which an oratory was added later. It is mentioned as a parish church from 1311 onwards. At the foot of the tower was a well, now enclosed within the Saint-Roch chapel, added at the end of the English wars, probably around 1452. By enlarging the part reserved for worship, the new building prepared for defence: arrow slits, a sink, latrines for soldiers were arranged in the upper part.
