Historique
Eglise commencée en 1540, composée d'une nef de deux travées, d'un transept, d'une abside à cinq pans précédée d'une travée barlongue. La balustrade à colonnes et entablements doriques qui ferme la chapelle du tombeau est datée de 1649. Dans la nef, les nervures des voûtes retombent sur des chapiteaux doriques surmontant des pilastres à la base épannelée. Surmontant le croisillon nord du transept, le clocher est flanqué d'une tourelle d'escalier octogonale. La décoration extérieure, à l'exception du portail ouest et d'une niche contenant autrefois une statue de la Vierge sur le côté sud, ne présente aucun caractère religieux. History
Church begun in 1540, composed of a nave of two bays, a transept, an apse with five facets preceded by an oblong bay. The balustrade with columns and Doric entablatures which closes the tomb chapel is dated 1649. In the nave, the ribs of the vaults spring from Doric capitals surmounting pilasters with splayed base. Surmounting the north arm of the transept, the bell tower is flanked by an octagonal stair turret. The exterior decoration, with the exception of the west portal and a niche which formerly contained a statue of the Virgin on the south side, presents no religious character. The continuous frieze which goes around the church illustrates the life of the patron, Galiot de Genouillac.
