Historique
Eglise édifiée à partir des restes d'une abbaye bénédictine dont les archives révèlent peu de renseignements. Dévastée vers 1260 et reconstruite aux alentours de 1290, elle fut pillée durant les guerres de religion et saccagée pendant la Révolution. L'église actuelle présente une nef de belle proportion, terminée par un tympan roman. Le chevet a été aménagé aux 17e et 19e siècles. La partie occidentale est ornée d'un très beau tympan : Christ dominant les quatre symboles des Evangélistes et encadré de personnages nimbés le soutenant. Le clocher carré date de 1745. L'église a été vandalisée le week-end du 15-16 mai 2021 : tableaux crevés, retables et statues brisées etc...

History
Church built from the remains of a Benedictine abbey whose archives reveal little information. Devastated around 1260 and rebuilt around 1290, it was pillaged during the Wars of Religion and desecrated during the Revolution. The present church presents a nave of fine proportion, terminated by a Romanesque tympanum. The chevet was laid out in the 17th and 19th centuries. The western section is adorned with a very fine tympanum: Christ dominating the four symbols of the Evangelists and framed by haloed figures supporting him. The square bell tower dates from 1745. The church was vandalized on the weekend of 15-16 May 2021: punctured paintings, retables and broken statues etc...
